7th Bridge Tournament Sets the Standard with New Record.
The long awaited Bridge Tournament took place on 4th November 2007 at Emerald Park after 2 months and there was a slight drop in attendance with a couple of regular players missing from the action. The new King of Diamond is none other than veteran player – Seanny Boy.
We started the qualifying matches at around 3.30pm with 3 teams. Team King comprised of Zhen Ming, Celeste , Malcolm and Isaac Jr. Team Queen was made up of Jerome, Alex, Daniel and Nicole. Team Aces was a combination of Matthew, Sean, Jewel and Charlotte.
The Qualifying matches were tame and even to the point of quiet compared to past tournaments. The Top 8 players emerged after a series of tie breaker matches between those who tied at 2 Wins – Celeste, Isaac Jr, Matthew, Charlotte and Jewel. A Wild Card move was made by Celeste relinquished her seat to Matthew to play on her behalf,( and he actually made it to the finals).
The Semi finals were breezed through within 30 mins and the Wild Card was on a winning streak making it to the Finals. Sean, who constantly partnered Matthew, was also riding on his Blessed Birthday Stars to proceed on. Nicole made it in once again proving her prowess as the “King of Hearts”. Isaac Jr is on the rise as he is a constant sight in the finals.
We saw the final 4 slog it out to win 3 games as they keep tying the game score with strategic pairing and sensible game play. When we thought the tournament would drag into the night Nicole ended up partnering Sean and thus breaking the jinxed ties and assisting the Birthday Boy to win the game, taking home vouchers from IKEA.
We have broken the record time of ending before 6pm at 5.52pm, despite the numerous tie breaker matches we played. This goes to show the quality and speed of the players have been raised by a notch as the indecisive moves and long bouts of laughter in previous game plays were replaced by sharp wit and quick moves.
We look forward to the 8th Bridge Tournament in December and hope to see you there!

Its Christmas and its the time of the year where we are just going to get together and have a night filled with fun and laughter!
So, whats the plan? We thought to ourselves; what do we normally do on Christmas Eve? We eat, drink and gather with close friends! One common thing we all dread is the massive crowd that we have to overcome to get anywhere. Top it off with traffic jams, the expensive burn-a-hole-in-your-pocket-yet-not-filling food and the long queues before you can get to that…all these are reasons enough for us to start brainstorming for an alternative.
Where then do we get some genuine fun and avoid all of the above???
Well where better than at our very own venue! 38C Belvedere Close #02-02!
Thus XMAS XBOX 180 was birthed!

Board games are provided for free flow usage, our very own Bridge Club will be there to play some Christmas Bridge!! We are planning for some big screen old school arcade challenge as well! Nicole & Jewel’s collector’s gift shop: “A World Within” will be open for your last minute shopping!
Countdown to this year’s Christmas with us with our 2007 Wine Glass Souvenir for everyone to bring home after Midnight!!
